I don’t even know where to begin with this special elopement. Words will never do this day justice! Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would be photographing a beautiful elopement on a mountain top ACROSS THE COUNTRY at Mount Rainier National Park! When Mariela reached out to me about photographing her intimate elopement at Mount Rainier, without hesitation, I SAID YES! I love traveling. It challenges me in so many ways as a destination wedding photographer. I am put into situations I have never been in and I am out of my “comfort zone”. As soon as we pulled up to the adorable Shadow Creek Cabins we were staying at, it felt like I’ve been there before and all my fears went away. 

Fast forward to elopement day!! My best friend and I arrived at her cabin to start the day with quick getting ready photos before heading out to meet her soon to be husband! She picked up some floral arrangements from the Public Market in Downtown Seattle and they were so stunning! We began our journey on the Pinnacle Peak Trail and oh myyyyy, It was TOUGH! I am not a hiker so probably 5 minutes in, I was ready to turn around haha! Just kidding, but seriously, it was hard. Appalachian mountains can’t even touch these mountains! Whew…after 1.5 miles, we made it! It may have took longer than we thought because the views along the way were breathtaking. Imagine a postcard with a beautiful mountain on it. That is what I saw only with my own eyes!!!!

There stood Josh, impatiently waiting to see his gorgeous bride. They did their intimate first look together then started the ceremony afterwards surrounded by some of their closest friends/family. Look at Mount Rainier in the background!!!! Out of all the trails they could have chosen, I think they did chose the best one!!! It was such a magical day and I am so thankful I was able to be part of it! Congratulations, Mariela + Josh!!! Enjoy my all time favorites from this day!
