I never thought I would be writing a blog post like this…ever in my lifetime! I can’t even put into words just how amazing this  trip to St. Thomas was. When Mel reached out asking for me to photograph their wedding in St. Thomas, I immediately accepted! I mean seriously, who wouldn’t accept that kind of inquiry! It was truly a dream and it did not seem real. I had to keep checking my camera on the flight home to make sure that I did not dream this and that I did photograph one of my best friends in tropical paradise!

Mel and I met in 7th grade when she transferred schools. Her and I instantly grew a bond and we have been best friends ever since. She is currently living in Charleston, SC with her now husband working as a pharmacist!! Even though we don’t live close anymore, we have that friendship where we won’t communicate for awhile and we can pick up where we left off. She has the sweetest soul I’ve ever met and I am so honored she wanted me to photograph her wedding. Spending 3.5 days with her family was exactly what I needed in this season of life. Her entire family has hearts of gold and I love them all so much!

St. Thomas was so picturesque from the moment I arrived. Definitely a change of eyeball pace compared to Virginia haha! Everything was so beautiful and the locals were so friendly/welcoming! I arrived at the estate and my jaw dropped to the floor. I could not believe my eyes and what I was going to be waking up to for the next 3 days. I can’t thank the king family enough for bringing me out there and photographing this once in a lifetime opportunity! And lastly, CONGRATULATIONS MEL + CORBIN!!!
